The Bielefeld Ludwig M. is 1936 arrested for homosexuality by the Gestapo. As a Jew, he survived Buchenwald and Auschwitz. After the war, he has to fight for the recognition of his persecution as a Jew. In the ’50s, on the edge of legality, he opened the first gay bar in Hannover.
In nightmarish and grotesque images, using documentary texts and stories that reflect the spirit of those years, created the image of a man who does not take his identity and human dignity.
