Ten years takes Odysseus’ wanderings to his native island of Ithaca. For ten years raises the hero of the dangers of strangers. Ten years propel him the gods of the sea, before he is reunited with his beloved Penelope again.
Hardly an epic our culture has so much influenced as Homer’s “Odyssey”. Even today fascinates us the desperate journey of cunning hero, his fate will not bend because he longs for his home.
In a visually stunning street theater production Theaterlabor asks for the current relevance of this odyssey. With the form of street theater, it takes the audience literally on a journey through strange sound and imagery. Anyone looking today for home and why? through What personal odysseys
we all? And who determines our fate?
