Our grandparents are the last generation that has lived through the Second World War. But why do we usually know more about the war from history books than about the history of our own family? Is talking about the Second World War still a taboo or are we just not interested any more?
In KRIEGSENKEL the four performers review their family biographies by looking for previously untold stories and searching for the tracks that run through the generations thus bringing the Second World War closer than before.
By using text and dance the performers created a biographical documentary play and connect the line between their grandparents and their own generation – a search for one’s roots.
